All About Me
I am an energetic and empathetic GP, committed to providing patient-centred care with a focus on emotional and holistic health. With over a decade of experience, I have had the privilege of helping patients from all walks of life, offering personalised medical solutions that prioritise their needs and concerns.
I began my medical journey in 2005, graduating from the prestigious Universidad Central de Venezuela. After migrating to Australia in 2008, I earned my Australian Medical Council certification and Registration with AHPRA n 2014. In addition to my GP practice, I am a certified sclerotherapist affiliated with the Australasian College of Phlebology, and I hold a Diploma in Community Services Work. I have also completed The Ethics Centre Counsel Program, further enhancing my commitment to ethical, compassionate care.
Having experienced obesity and living with diabetes, I am deeply passionate about non-surgical weight management and obesity care. My personal journey allows me to relate closely to my patients, understanding their challenges and guiding them toward their health goals with empathy and insight. I also have a strong interest in sports medicine, adolescent health, and providing holistic care for minority communities, including First Nations people, LGBTQI + individuals and immigrants.
In my practice, I draw on my diverse experiences in rural medicine, orthopaedic surgery, occupational health, and emergency care to offer well-rounded treatment plans. My approach is rooted in the belief that healthcare should address not only the physical but also the emotional and social aspects of a patients life. My training in community services and counselling allows me to better support my patients in achieving lasting well-being.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, and we often enjoy trips to nature, exploring both Australia and overseas. I’m also passionate about football (soccer) and have taken my love for the sport to the next level by becoming a referee. I actively participate in community tournaments, fostering a sense of connection and teamwork.
